How do I access my room?

You will receive your check-in instructions by email, if not please use the iPad or telephone in the lobby to speak to us. Please check your spam inbox and messages from Expedia, or Air BnB.

You can access your room using the unique pin code included in the email/message.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check in is 4pm and check out is 11am.

If you need a few more hours with us  and would like to arrive earlier to get ready for that all important work meeting or early zoom call or after your working day to catch up with your emails before you start out on your journey home then we can certainly (subject to availability) allow flexibility to our standardised check in and out times.  Kindly just email the team at Stow-Away who will do their best to accommodate your request.

What type of electrical sockets do you have in the rooms?

We have UK standard power sockets as well as USB sockets in all our rooms.

What amenities are there in the rooms?

Our rooms are designed to be micro apartments and so have all the facilities you need to make a home from home. This includes a shower, kitchen with all mod cons, king size bed, TV, wardrobe and table and chairs.  A full list of all the room facilities can be found in our app.

How often do you clean the rooms?

For guests who are staying with us a little longer, the rooms are cleaned once per week.

Is there somewhere for my suitcase in the room?

We have a small storage space under the bed suitable for carry on cases.

Do you have facilities for disabled travellers?

The property is level access on the ground floor and we have a lift serving all the rooms. One room is also set up for disabled travellers.

Can I bring my pet?

We do allow pets for a small fee of £25 per night.  Please let us know when you make your booking you would like to bring your dog with you.

Do you have a laundry service?

We have two washer dryers on site for use by our guests. You also have an iron and ironing board in the room.  If you want someone else to do the hard work you could also try a service such as

We do not allow smoking anywhere on the premises.

What are your room rates?

Our room rates vary depending on the time of year, how far in advance you book and the length of your stay.  Please contact us direct to get the most competitive rates.

What happens if I don’t receive conformation of my reservation?

Please contact us and we will happily look into this for you and arrange to send you your booking details.

Do I need to pay a deposit when booking a room?

A security deposit of £150 will be held on the card used to pay for the room and will be used for any incidentals, damages or disturbances. We will take this pre-authorisation on the day of arrival and will it release on the day of departure.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

This depends on the type of booking you made (for example or direct).  Please refer to your booking confirmation for details.

Do you have a bar or restaurant in the hotel?

We have a lovely wine bar and restaurant on the ground floor run by Unwined.  They have an amazing selection of wines and other drinks and a menu that changes on a regular basis.  You can find more details at

What do I do about breakfast?

We don’t offer breakfast but Lower Marsh has an incredible selection of cafes that serve breakfast.  There are also local shops and supermarkets very close by so you can make your own in your room using our well stocked kitchen.

Is there parking available?

There is limited parking in the area. Some on street parking is available in the area and the nearest multi storey car parks are the APCOA car park at Cornwall Road, London SE1 9PP or the Waterloo Car Park at 39 York Road, London SE1 7NQ.

How far is Stow-Away from the nearest underground and train stations?

We are very near to Waterloo Station which has both underground and mainline train services. We are also close to Lambeth North tube station which is on the Bakerloo Line.

How do I get there from the airport?

All the major London airports have fast links into Central London.  From there you can travel by public transport or get a taxi.

We welcome anyone!  Our guests come from all over the world and across all ages.  As we do not have an on site reception we are particularly well suited to anyone looking for that feeling of being at a ‘home from home’ as you can come and go as you please using only your phone to gain access to the property.
